I’ve worn both contacts and glasses with alot of frustration regarding the trade offs. With glasses, my vision is framed by the frames of the glasses. To look around, I have to physically move my head, instead of just glancing over wherever I want to look. Also, glasses traditionally cost gobs of money and on top of that, you have to have an eye doctor regularly tell you exactly how bad your eyes before you can even order glasses or contacts.
With contact lenses, you have to wake up every morning and poke yourself in the eye. Sounds like a fun way to start your morning, right? Grab that box of Wheaties and – oh yeah, don’t forget, poke yourself in the eye so you can see.
While I wait for my eyes to stop changing and to save the money for laser eye surgery, I’ve switched between going blind (I’m near-sighted so it’s not too bad), wearing contacts or glasses grudgingly.
At the beginning of May I ordered new glasses from GlobalEyeglasses.com and I’ve been very happy with the glasses I picked out, especially since it was only $16 including shipping for this particular frame and lens and it took less than two weeks for the glasses to get to me from the time I ordered.
