Cooking in Life

Written By Danny Nicolas

How can one not get excited about food?

Some people limit themselves by only enjoying the "eating" part of food in the kitchen and dining process. Eating iss only 20% of the fun: preparing, cleaning, presenting, feeding, and eating. Five fun factors in food and I really do enjoy all of them, but i think too many people get stressed out and then it's no longer fun. They're stressed out, tired, pressured for time and demands from an impatient, hungry crowd. Soon, they're making silly mistakes, it's no longer fun and everything is a chore. Worse yet, the food just tastes marginally OK because the process and ingredients are off just slightly.

But if you relax and laugh; stopping to smile and enjoy the process, life is easier and food is made, dishes cleaned, entres served, stomaches filled, compliments delivered, and satisfaction (while not guaranteed) makes the effort all worth it.
