Skyfall On Track To Be The Most Successful James Bond

Written By Danny Nicolas

As Amanda wrote last week, Skyfall is making a boatload of money at the boxoffice and this past weekend continued that trend.

Skyfall brought in an estimated $41.5+ million on it's second weekend of release in the United States, bringing it's USA gross to an estimated $161+ million, only a few million short of the record $168+ million that Quantum of Solace set over the lifetime of it's release. The worldwide gross record for James Bond films is dominated by Skyfall, which sits at $669 million estimated total. The next closest is Casino Royale at $599 million. While the holiday film lineup is crowded from now until the end of the year, Skyfall has a window of opportunity to be the action film people go to see from now until the release of The Hobbit.
