Until this release, each of the Conventional Weapons releases were upbeat, faster paced songs. For Conventional Weapons #3, My Chemical Romance released the songs "The World Is Ugly" and "The Light Behind Your Eyes", both of which are slower paced ballads. The guitar work in The Light Behind Your Eyes is some of the best from Ray Toro that we've yet to hear. For those looking for a more grown-up My Chemical Romance, these two songs show off their growth as songwriters without straying too far from their roots.
